Do you have a list of favorite directors? We all have one, right?

A movie starts with the vision of its director, and it’s impossible not to acknowledge the work put in by them to make the imagination a reality.

In these 100 years of the cinema industry being present all across the globe, we have been fortunate enough to be told stories that have deeply impacted us — have made us cry, laugh, think, imagine, dream and live.

And a lot of credits for this go to the master – the director of the film.

Although each director has left his/her own mark in his/her own unique way, there are some which have changed the cinema industry for the greatest good.

As movie buffs on both sides today, we thought let’s cherish these amazing directors with you all. Here are some of them!

Edgar Wright

Born on 18th April 1974, Edgar Wright is an English film director, screenwriter and producer. He is popularly known for his fast and satirical movies like Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz & translation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s ‘Scott Pilgrim’. Also, his movies are known to be featuring expressive popular music.

His eye for capturing details beautifully is what makes him one of the best directors of this generation.

Christopher Nolan

A director that tells stories that make a home in people’s minds for years to come. How? Because he doesn’t tell ordinary stories. He dreams and talks about a world that hardly exists in reality, and that’s what draws most of us towards his films.

Movies like Memento, Inception & Interstellar have proved his ability to create complex structures and manifest them into a reality on the big screens successfully.

Nolan started his career at the age of 7 by beginning to make short movies with his father’s Super-8 camera. Since then, his talent for making intriguing stories and keeping his audience hooked has only been nurtured well and made him one of the greatest directors.

His power is his ability to make his audience smile and cry at the same time and make the ‘story’ the hero of the film.
